We have chosen the winner of our “30 day Case Study in the Success with ViSalus” campaign, Michael Simmons of Las Vegas, NV.

Joe Perez of Zealous Marketing, in conjunction with serial entrepreneurs Peter and David Gantner, have paid the initial investment of $499 to start the new ViSalus business opportunity for Michael Simmons. Michael will benefit from the direct mentoring and marketing of ViSalus through Zealous Marketing’s position with the company. Michael will have access to marketing resources - similar to anyone who becomes involved with ViSalus through the Zealous Marketing Team.

What will be happening over the next 30 days?

Zealous Marketing will publish posts here announcing the milestones acheived and any obstacles that may develop over the next 30 days in this ViSalus Case Study.

Michael Simmons will begin to build his ViSalus business under the guidance of Joe Perez, and supported by the team.

Who is Michael Simmons?

Michael Simmons is a 23 year old college student who is a budding entrepreneur and has never been actively involved with any MLM or network marketing company. Michael does not have any experience in the internet marketing (or brick and mortar for that matter) space and is “green” in the world of business building and entrepreneurship.

Thank you to all who submitted their information for inclusion in this ViSalus business opportunity sponsored by Joe Perez, Peter and David Gantner. Subscribe to our RSS for updates or check back often for new developments! Good luck Michael, and may the Zealous Force be with you! ;)

The following is an editorial and opportunity presented by Joe Perez and does not necessarily reflect the views of Zealous Marketing, its' partners or affiliates.

Twitter finally pissed me off.

Well, not Twitter, a Twitter-er.

I received a couple of messages today from (I’ll call them) “Mr. Obtuse” that said a few negative things about mlm’s and ended with the last (and this is mild compared to the others) question, “For someone who, what looks like, so many people are fond of, why would you promote an mlm? (ViSalus) -scammer”.  These were my first negative messages in the 6 months I’ve been Tweeting; and I have to say that I did take it almost personal. Well, actually I did take it personal because I am making this offer of my own personal funds LOL…

My sensitivity is your gain.

I will be selecting one entrepreneur on Monday, March 23rd, at noon Pacific time who I will mentor for 30 days and pay to start their own ViSalus Sciences business online (value $499). I originally ‘Tweeted’ that I would select the extremely lucky entrepreneur on Friday night, but I think on such short notice it would only be fair to run it through the weekend. This will be a case study in building online success with ViSalus that I hope to use to dispell any doubt about the credibility and profitability of the Vi-Net social network and ViSalus Sciences business opportunity. I will be mentoring, training and helping to build the ViSalus Sciences business (for 30 days from joining) with the entrepreneur we randomly select. Yes, that means that there will be no out of pocket expense in the joining cost of $499.00 (including business website, marketing materials/training tools, product samples, etc..).

So, if you have been waiting for a company to join or would like to make this your first attempt at becoming a successful entrepreneur, this is YOUR moment!

Candidates who would like to enter to be randomly chosen for this opportunity, please click here and enter your contact *info! The winner will be required to sign an agreement allowing Zealous Marketing to publish the results of the case study, but they are able to remain anonymous if they like.

*We do not and will not share your information with anyone. By submitting your information on the link above, you agree to receive emails from Zealous Marketing regarding the ViSalus business opportunity.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this opportunity, please message Joe directly @WebEstate on Twitter or email him at joe(at)zealousmarketing(dot)com Make sure to share this with someone!

Zealous Marketing had the opportunity to sit with Blake Mallen, CMO and Ryan Blair, CEO of ViSalus. The following is a review based on that meeting with Zealous CEO, Joe Perez on January 28, 2009.

ViSalus is an innovative concept that has effectively grafted a superior network marketing product in the health and wellness space with an optimized social networking platform - Vi-Net. The timing is near perfect, in my opinion, as the these are significant trends/shifts in cyberspace at the present. After sampling their product line and reviewing their ingredient/functionality comparisons to health industry leaders, I must admit I was very impressed overall with their potential in these saturated markets.

Features of the Vi-Net Social Network in their own words:

• A social network for ViSalus Distributors, Customers and Friends

• An interactive daily guide to reach your life, health and prosperity goals!

• A place to track your nutrition and weight using sophisticated online tools

• The most efficient group management technology in direct sales

• A virtual academy with video training delivered online all the time!

• A suite of marketing and exposure tools to help you build your business fast!

• A community of like-minded people empowering and supporting each other.

In my initial research (and for the sake of getting this first post published expediently), these are the ups and downs that are being addressed as I write.

Downsides

  • Saturated market with substantial Direct Response Marketing and PR Optimization required by ViSalus on a national/global scale for independent distributors to compete in the health and wellness space effectively
  • Negative “propaganda” slandering the ViSalus brand in SERP’s (search engine results pages) because of their network marketing related business model - however, this is always to be expected in this space
  • The ViSalus Social Network Vi-Net is the first major integration of these trends (network marketing and social networking) and may see alot of the competition “jump on the bandwagon” in months to come

Upsides

  • ViSalus is backed by a successful publicly traded corporation - Blyth BTH. Blyth provides ViSalus capital, leverageable assets and domain expertise to facilitate ViSalus‘ aggressive expansion plans over the next several years. This is a network marketing industry first!
  • Superior products - dietary supplement formulations supported by a highly credible expert scientific advisory board.
  • Extremely lucrative compensation structure that is able to payout expediently due to their capital and assets - incentivized by a practical and attainable BMW car program.
  • Vi-Net, the Visalus Social Network, has simplified features for a wider range of interactivity by novices through experts in social networking with easy mobile picture and video integration for personalization and building content.

In closing, I feel that the ViSalus business opportunity is definitely a worthwhile investment and solid business opportunity in the short term with explosive viral marketability. I do, however, have much more research to complete before we can project long-term/sustainability. Overall, I am confident in predicting that this company will become a major player in the industry well within their first 3 years.

Hello Zealous friends, Twitter followers, clients and prospective clients! Today I was asked to help a friend installing Google Analytics on WordPress so I thought it would be a good opportunity to make a quick “installing Google Analytics on WordPress Video” for other wordpress users who might need some help with that too.

Here’s the link to the screencast Installing Google Analytics on WordPress Video

Zealous Marketing has entered negotiations with Green Leaf Apartments to provide geo-targeted SEO for 6 of their Green Leaf Apartments communities.  Zealous Marketing has started the strategic proposal process by beginning research and development on over 500 keyword phrases and long-tail search terms and is currently providing real-time analytics for geo-targeted search terms and IP targeting.

Green Leaf Apartments

Green Leaf Partners is a Northern California-based real estate investment firm that specializes in acquiring, repositioning and operating multi-family communities in markets that demonstrate positive growth fundamentals and have a constrained apartment supply. The firm was founded in 2008 as an affiliate of RCMG and K. Wayne Rice and Associates, Inc (KWR). Green Leaf Partners intends to create an investment fund to capitalize on RCMG’s and KWR’s investment opportunities and expertise.

KWR was founded in 1994 by Wayne Rice.  Since then Wayne has successfully acquired approximately 5,000 units and generated an average IRR of 23.5% in markets throughout the country. In 2006, Wayne and the members of his team founded RCMG as an affiliate of KWR with the intention of leveraging KWR’s strategy and track record into larger institutional-type assets. In less than two years RCMG acquired over 1,000 units in markets throughout the country. All of the company’s assets are well positioned to generate attractive returns.

In 2008, the principals of RCMG decided to create a fund to capitalize on an attractive apartment owner’s market that the principals foresee over the next three to five years. Green Leaf Partners aims to brand its apartment assets under a new name -“Green Leaf Apartments” - demonstrating the company’s commitment to sustainable and environmentally-friendly housing. Environmentally friendly practices will help the company gain recognition in the market for its forward -thinking approach to unlocking value in older apartment assets through the addition of select environmentally-friendly upgrades.

Zealous Marketing has been asked to create a strategic web estate development proposal to include geo-targeted SEO as well as becoming dedicated webmasters for all of Green Leaf Apartments projects in the future.
